1-Year-Old In KL Dies On The First Day Under Nanny's Care
A toddler in Kuala Lumpur recently passed away on his first day under a nanny's care
Harian Metro reported that one-year-old Muhammad Aydan Firas Muhammad Faris Azim was pronounced dead at a private hospital in Setapak on Monday, 3 February.
The child was found to be unconscious at the nanny's home in Taman Melati, Kuala Lumpur.
After receiving a phone call from the nanny, 29-year-old Safiah quickly rushed her son to a clinic where he was then referred to a private hospital
"I did not think that the first day I send my son to the nanny would be the last day my husband and I get to see him alive," she told Harian Metro.
"As soon as we reached the hospital, the doctor confirmed that Muhammad Aydan had passed away. His body was then taken to Hospital Kuala Lumpur for an autopsy."
According to her, the post-mortem found no elements of a crime but the cause of death remains unknown until the full report is completed.
She also added that the child was previously left under the care of her family members. However, she decided to send him to a nanny so he could get along with other children.
Wangsa Maju district police chief Superintendent Rajab Ahad Ismail said that investigations are still ongoing
He said that the police will announce the cause of death once they receive the complete forensic report.
Safiah expressed that she and her husband has accepted their son's death. However, they still hope that the truth will prevail so that they can identify the cause.
