Selangor MB Amirudin Shari also announced 20 smart buses to help commuters who have been affected by LRT disruptions that will last a week.
Today, 9 November, Selangor Menteri Besar (MB) Amirudin Shari announced a one-day state public holiday to enable people to vote
According to Amirudin, 18 November is being declared a state holiday to allow Malaysians, who are working and residing in Selangor, to travel back to their hometowns to cast their votes on 19 November.
He also urged the caretaker federal government to declare a nationwide public holiday on 18 November for all Malaysians to make it easier for them to cast their ballots for the 15th General Election (GE15).
Meanwhile, he also announced 20 smart buses to help commuters who have been affected by LRT disruptions that will last a week
Earlier today, Rapid KL formerly confirmed that 16 stations on the Kelana Jaya LRT line will be shut down for one week. While instances of inactivity or default in function related to LRT lines in Malaysia have come up ever so often, the temporary halt of 16 stations has left hundreds of Malaysians without a method of transport.
