8 People In Ampang Fined For Jogging In Residential Area That Does Not Match Address On IC
According to the police, jogging in a residential area that is different from one's address on their identity card is a violation of the SOPs under the MCO.

Hulu Kelang police recently fined eight individuals for jogging in a residential area that did not match the addresses on their identity cards
Utusan Malaysia reported that on Monday, 7 June, a team of officers from the Hulu Kelang police station carried out Ops COVID-19 PKP 3.0 at a track in Taman TAR, Ampang, and found about 30 individuals jogging in the area.
Eight people were fined during the operation and Ampang Jaya police chief Mohamad Farouk Eshak said that jogging in a residential area that is different from one's address on their identity card is a violation of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) under the Movement Control Order (MCO).
He explained that the fines were issued under Regulation 17 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within Infected Local Areas) Regulations.
Following the incident, a man posted defamatory remarks on social media about the officer who issued the fines and an investigation has been launched against him
Mohamad Farouk said, "The investigation is carried out in relation to a man who uploaded defamatory statements regarding the compound officer."
"The complainant, who is also the compound officer, lodged a police report after reading the viral posting which defamed him baselessly and incited a negative public perception of him," he added.
The case is being investigated under Section 500 of the Penal Code and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
