A Gym Owner Was Shot By A Group Of Gunmen On His Birthday In Shah Alam
His Indonesian assistant was also shot and both were heavily injured.
A gym owner and his assistant were shot by a group of gunmen while running errands yesterday morning, 23 October along Jalan Bukit Kemuning, Shah Alam
According to The Sun Daily, the 40-year-old and 43-year-old were in a car on their way to buy lights for the gym.
It is reported that a group of gunmen in a four-wheel-drive (4WD) vehicle drove up to the driver's side and started opening fire with a semi-automatic pistol.
The gym owner, who was supposed to celebrate his birthday later that day, was shot in the cheek while his assistant was shot in the stomach at a close range
After recovering several bullet casings at the scene, it is believed that the gunmen fired at least seven shots at the two victims.
The car was found in a drain which led passersby to assume that it was an accident
The victim's car skidded to the roadside after the shooting occurred.
"We initially received calls from the public, saying that there was an accident, but when we arrived at the scene, we realised that it was a shooting," said Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Baharudin Mat Taib.
Both men were sent to Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah, Klang for treatment
Despite being shot multiple times, the men survived and it is reported that they are in a stable condition.
