A Woman In Miri Allegedly Attempted Suicide After Being Cyberbullied

A woman in Miri allegedly attempted to commit suicide by swallowing pills at 8am yesterday, 11 October
According to New Straits Times, the 21-year-old downed sedatives and painkillers, among other pills, that exceeded the recommended dosage in her rented room in Jalan Permaisuri.
The woman was found in a weak state by her friend and was then rushed to Miri Hospital.
It is reported that the woman attempted suicide after finding out about an unknown individual circulating photos of her on Facebook
"Among others, the woman was depicted as a cheap individual without morals by the unknown individual," a source told New Straits Times, adding that this was what led the woman to attempt suicide.
The woman is also reported to be married.
The source confirmed that the woman is now in a stable condition
A police spokesman has also confirmed receiving the report on the incident.
