Another Bullying Incident Sees 5 Students Arrested For Assaulting A 14-Year-Old In Muar

The boys, who were arrested in Melaka, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, and Johor Bahru, have been remanded for three days starting Thursday, 16 December, to facilitate investigations under Section 147 of the Penal Code.
The remand order was issued by Muar magistrate Analia Kamaruddin.
Section 147 carries a jail term of up to two years or a fine or both upon conviction.
Muar district police chief ACP Zaharudin Rasip said the senior students were dissatisfied with the attitude of the victim and his friends
This led the senior students, all aged 16, to assault the 14-year-old junior student.
According to Zaharudin, a police report was lodged on Wednesday.
"The police are serious about criminal cases involving students, especially bullying in schools and will not compromise with any party involved," Bernama quoted Zaharudin as saying.
