As part of the government's push towards digitalisation, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced that the Unit Govtech Malaysia will be empowered to increase service efficiency

Tabling Belanjawan 2026 in parliament today, Anwar said the unit will leverage its in-house expertise to develop more government digital applications.

"To complement this, the MADANI Kiosk initiative, which allows the public to access government services outside of regular office hours, will also be expanded," he added.

Currently, three kiosks are operating in the Klang Valley, with two more scheduled to launch in Penang and Johor, Anwar revealed.

Anwar, who is also finance minister, added that these kiosks will be rolled out to all states in stages.
