Bomba Saves 16-Year-Old After She Gets Stuck In Baby Swing At Children's Playground
She was stuck in the seat for 35 minutes.
A 16-year-old teenage girl got herself stuck in a swing at a children's playground in Bidor, Perak, on Saturday, 10 June
The rescue was detailed by the Bidor Fire and Rescue Department in a Facebook post.
Chief of operations Ahmad Tarmizee Hassan said they received a distress call regarding the incident at about 8.55am.
A team was dispatched to the playground in Taman Sungkai Perdana to help the trapped victim
Tarmizee said they had to use specialised equipment to carefully cut the victim out of the swing without causing any injuries to her.
The rescue operation ended at 9.30am, and the victim was not injured during the incident.
The photos of the rescue has since been widely circulated, with netizens feeling embarrassed for the high school student
A repost of the photos saying, "That swing is for toddlers, sis. Why did you get in it?" has even garnered over 3,800 shares and 2,000 comments.
"She must have really wanted to [sit in the baby swing]," said a Facebook user.
"I've laughed until my sides hurt," said another, "I hope this serves as a lesson to all. Stay safe everyone."
Meanwhile, many others reprimanded the girl for her antics.
"This is just causing trouble lah. This is vandalism, we have to understand. Laugh, but understand it's destruction of public property," said a netizen.
It is not reported if the teenager was fined for the replacement of the damaged swing.
