Brother Discovers His Sister Is A Rape Victim After Noticing She Always Goes Out At 1.30AM
The suspect allegedly travelled 300km to meet the 14-year-old victim on multiple occasions.
A brother discovered his 14-year-old sister is a rape victim after noticing that she often leaves home at 1.30am
According to Harian Metro, the suspect who allegedly raped the victim is a 22-year-old fast food chain worker.
It is understood that he made a 300km round trip from Kuala Pilah, Negeri Sembilan to Bukit Kepong in Muar, Johor to allegedly rape the minor on numerous occasions since March.
The Muar district police chief, ACP Raiz Mukhlis Azman Aziz, stated that the brother conducted his own investigation when he noticed his sister's frequent late night 'disappearances' from their home, reported Berita Harian.
It is said that the rapes took place at an oil palm plantation.
The police arrested the 22-year-old suspect on Monday, 24 July, after receiving a police report on the same day
"Preliminary investigations found that the incident started in March, and the last time it happened was last month," said Raiz Mukhliz.
"From the information received, the suspect contacts the victim first before they meet in the oil palm plantation behind her house," he added.
The magistrate's court in Muar issued a week-long remand order against the suspect. The case is currently being investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape.
