Burglar Dies Of Heart Attack During Alleged Break-In & Fight With Housekeeper In Ipoh

Two suspects are believed to have entered the house, with one found dead at the scene.

A 40-year-old man died after allegedly breaking into a house in Ipoh, Perak, in the early hours of Tuesday morning, 28 July

According to Bernama, Perak police chief Datuk Mohd Alwi Zainal Abidin said the incident is believed to have occurred at around 5am when two suspects forced open a window and entered a house along Jalan Building Society in Taman Star.

Initial investigations found that the housekeeper confronted the intruders, leading to a struggle.

"One suspect is believed to have escaped, while the other was found unconscious and pronounced dead at the scene," Mohd Alwi said.

Mohd Alwi said the case has been classified as sudden death. Meanwhile, investigations into the alleged housebreaking under Section 457 of the Penal Code and voluntarily causing hurt with a weapon under Section 324 of the Penal Code are ongoing.

Police are also actively tracking down the second suspect, who remains at large.
