A 15-year-old boy, who last month pleaded guilty to multiple counts of raping his younger sister, has been ordered by a Magistrate's Court in Negeri Sembilan to be sent to a school for young offenders in Melaka

The court ordered the teenager to be sent to Henry Gurney School in Telok Mas for three years.

According to a Sinar Harian report, Magistrate Norshazwani Ishak made the decision after examining the social report submitted by the Department of Social Welfare (JKM) against the 15-year-old accused.

His parents are allowed to visit him once a month.

There are six Henry Gurney Schools in Malaysia

They were established in 1949 under the Juvenile Courts Act 1947 [Act 90]. The schools offer rehabilitation programmes that are divided into four stages, including vocational and academic.
