5 Foreigners Arrested Over Fatal Stabbing Of Man Found Dead On Cheras Park Bench

Police identified the victim as a foreigner in his 20s who worked near where his body was discovered.

Police have detained five foreigners to assist investigations into the fatal stabbing of a man whose body was found in Bandar Mahkota Cheras earlier this week

Kajang district police chief ACP Naazron Abdul Yusof said the victim has been identified as a foreigner in his 20s who worked near the area where his body was found on Monday morning, 20 July.

Naazron said all five suspects, aged between their 20s and 30s, tested negative for drugs, according to the New Straits Times.

One of the suspects was arrested yesterday, 21 July, and has been remanded for six days to assist investigations.

The remaining four suspects are scheduled to be produced before the Kajang Magistrate's Court today, 22 July, for remand applications.

Police are still investigating the motive behind the killing.

The victim died from stab wounds to the abdomen

The victim was found unconscious near a residential area in Bandar Mahkota Cheras at about 8.40am on Monday.

A post-mortem later confirmed he died from abdominal haemorrhaging caused by stab wounds.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
