He said, with the existence of DidikTV KPM, high quality education can be achieved by all citizens of this country, especially those living in rural and remote areas. The occurrence of dropouts can also be minimised.

"Plans for the prime minister to complete the launch of the channel on the first day of broadcast also shows that education is a priority for the country," he added.

Meanwhile, MOE said the initiative to create the dedicated channel was part of a continuous effort to increase access to quality education for all students nationwide

In addition, MOE also sees DidikTV as a platform to create an informed society, as well as to allow Malaysians to gain more knowledge and learn moral values.

DidikTV will broadcast live on channel 107 on MyTV, channel 147 on Astro, and channel ntv7 on TV Unifi. Alternatively, DidikTV videos are also available on ntv7's YouTube channel.
