A Female Grab Driver Was Beaten Up And Robbed By Her Passenger In Sabah
The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon.
A female Grab driver's car was stolen after she was allegedly beaten up by a passenger in Kinarut, Sabah on Tuesday, 7 January
According to The Star, the 59-year-old woman had picked up the suspect from Inanam in the afternoon and was initially supposed to drop him off at Karamunsing Complex.
However, upon arriving in Karamunsing, the suspect asked her to send him to Kinarut instead.
According to a source, after reaching Kinarut, the man suddenly hit the back of the driver's head and face before escaping in her Perodua Myvi
In a report by Free Malaysia Today, the source said that the suspect also stole some of her valuables and abandoned her by the roadside.
Villagers, who found the woman with a bloodied nose, came to her aid and assisted her in lodging a police report.
Papar district police chief DSP Batholomew Umpit confirmed that a police report of the incident has been received
He also added that the victim was taken to the hospital and that the suspect was currently being tracked down.
"We hope to make an arrest soon," the police chief said, as quoted by The Star.
