Four-Year-Old Boy Allegedly Abused By Day Care Teacher For Failing To Recite ABC

A four-year-old boy, who was born with a hole in the heart, is believed to have been abused by his teacher at a day care centre.

The boy's mother discovered the abuse, believed to have been going on since he was enrolled at the centre last month, on Monday.

“I noticed small bruises and marks on him since he was sent there but I had dismissed it, thinking because he was an active child.

“However, when I took off his shirt to give him a bath yesterday, I saw marks all over his body and back which looked like he had been beaten,” said 30-year-old Ong Mei Li.

Menurutnya, kecederaan Issac dikesan selepas kanak-kanak itu pulang daripada pusat tuisyen dalam keadaan menangis dan ketakutan kira-kira jam 7 malam.
“Sebaik saja dia pulang ke rumah, saya hairan mengapa Issac tidak mahu didukung seperti kebiasaan sedangkan dia seorang yang manja dan aktif.

Kesalahan Issac sangat kecil.Kerana tidak menghafal dan pandai menyebut abjad A,B,C sehingga Z, Issac didakwa dipukul guru tuisyen sehingga luka dan lebam di beberapa anggota badan.

Akibat gagal menghafal A, B, C hingga Z dengan lancar apabila bacaan terhenti sekadar pada huruf D, seorang kanak-kanak lelaki berumur empat tahun didakwa dipukul guru tuisyen sehingga luka dan lebam di beberapa anggota badan, kelmarin.

Dalam kejadian di pusat tuisyen di Sri Gombak, di sini, Issac Chan Yi Bing dikatakan turut dicakar selain dirotan guru wanita yang sarat mengandung itu. Ibunya, Ong Mei Li, 30, berkata akibat perbuatan guru itu belakang badan anak tunggalnya bercalar dan berdarah, selain lebam di tangan, telinga serta pipi.

Gombak police confirmed that a report on the matter had been lodged.

Ong rushed her son to Selayang Hospital where doctors confirmed that he had been abused.

Upset, Ong confronted the teacher, identified as a Ms Khoo, at the centre in Sri Gombak. The latter denied the accusation.

“I trusted her and even explained to her his condition when I enrolled him there but she betrayed my trust,” Ong told reporters at her house in Taman Amaniah in Gombak on Tuesday. She has lodged a police report on the matter.

Ong was accompanied by MCA Youth complaints bureau and public welfare vice-chief Alex Lee who urged the police to act on the complaint.

“It is a terrible thing to do to a child and it is fortunate that this abuse was discovered before it affected his heart,” he said.
