Taking centre stage is a RM1.5 billion allocation for the OKU community, aimed at benefiting over 300,000 individuals.
Special education and autism support also received a much-needed financial upgrade.
Anwar, who also serves as the finance minister, revealed that the monthly allowance for special needs students will increase to RM200.

Caregivers and educators receive a boost too, with the teaching incentive for special education teachers bumped up to RM300 a month
To further support autistic children, the government will build two new Permata Kurnia Centres in Melaka and Pahang, alongside opening over 130 rural Tabika Tunas Istimewa classes.

Starting in 2027, the bankruptcy threshold will be raised from RM100,000 to RM150,000 to give individuals more financial breathing room.
The Prihatin Second Chance Policy will also expand to protect gig workers, senior citizens, and primary caregivers with irregular incomes.
Meanwhile, daily commuters can look forward to the new MyKomuter50 pass, while 360,000 school students, children under 6, and the OKU community will receive free passes.
