Honda Sri Utama Employee Gets Suspended For Her Insensitive Comment On Fireman Adib Kassim

She is now under an internal investigation.

Malaysians mourned the death of fireman Adib Kassim today after he passed away at the National Heart Institute (IJN) last night, 17 December

Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim was severely injured in the Seafield temple riot three weeks ago after being attacked by an angry mob. 

According to The Star, Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin confirmed the fireman's death at 9.41pm yesterday. 

Netizens began mourning Adib's death, and are now calling for justice through the hashtag #JusticeForAdib

However, one netizen was caught posting an insensitive Facebook comment about the fireman's passing

"The government didn't fail... It's your God who failed to heal Adib," said the woman, who was later found to be an associate of Honda Malaysia's dealer – Sri Utama Auto Sdn Bhd.

Both Sri Utama and Honda Malaysia have since issued statements in regards to the Facebook comment, confirming that the woman has been suspended from her job

Meanwhile, an internal investigation on the woman's Facebook comment is ongoing.

Following the statements, a few netizens also lodged reports to the police and Honda Japan in hopes of a thorough investigation
