The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has collected a total of RM91.21 million from the bidding of its 'H' Special Registration Number series, which was launched in conjunction with Malaysia Day 2026
According to Bernama, Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the total comprised of RM89.27 million in bid revenue and RM1.94 million in service fees.
The bidding was conducted through the JPJeBid system from 16 to 20 September, attracting 34,664 bidders and resulting in 8,223 registration numbers being successfully bid on.
The number plate 'H 1' recorded the highest bid of RM10,777,777, followed by:
– H 9 — RM4,969,999
– H 3 — RM4,209,777
– H 5 — RM4,007,777
– H 8 — RM4 million
– H 6 — RM3.38 million
Meanwhile, 'H 1001' and 'H 100' attracted the highest number of bidders, with 37 bidders each.
They were followed by 'H 1805', which attracted 36 bidders, while 'H 1777' and 'H 4818' drew 32 bidders each.
Loke said the revenue generated would be channelled back to the public through various programmes and initiatives by the Ministry of Transport and JPJ
He also said the overwhelming response to the bidding reflected the success of the special registration number initiative and the government's digitalisation efforts through the JPJeBid platform.
JPJ previously said the letter 'H' stands for "Harmony" and that the series would be the last single-prefix registration number series issued by the department.
The 'H' series was unveiled by JPJ during a media engagement event at Presint Merdeka 118 on 15 September, ahead of the bidding period.
