While waiting for her father at the 24-hour clinic, she overheard a woman talking to the clinic's pharmacist about her child's medication bill.
Maidatul said that the child's medication bill was over RM60
The woman offered to pay using a card but the pharmacist informed her that the clinic did not accept that particular card.
"The woman's face changed when she heard this and suddenly she said, 'It's okay. I've got no money. I don't want the medicine'," tweeted Maidatul.
The woman was about to leave quickly but the pharmacist stopped her and said that she will pay for the child's medication bill
"Are you sure? I can't pay for this," Maidatul heard the woman say before the pharmacist assures her again.
Touched, the woman thanked the pharmacist non-stop before heading off on her husband's old Honda motorcycle with round headlights.
When it was her turn to pay, Maidatul asked the pharmacist about the card that the woman wanted to use. The pharmacist explained it was a government assistance card. There are clinics that accept it, but unfortunately, their clinic did not.
Maidatul then offered to pay for the woman's bill, asking the pharmacist to calculate her father's bill inclusive of the woman's
But according to Maidatul, the pharmacist declined and repeatedly said, "It's okay, I'll pay for her medication. Pity that woman."
Maidatul ended her Twitter thread by saying, "To the pharmacist at Intan Medical Center, Kuala Terengganu. I pray for your good health for helping the woman and her child last night!"
"Everyone's struggling now. She was a hero in my eyes last night!" Maidatul added.
