Husky Abused By National Shuttler Has Found A New Home
Great news! T_T
Kitster, the husky who was abused by a national badminton player, has been adopted into a loving home
Stray Free Foundation shared the news, revealing that Kitster was adopted by Datuk Sri Sunny Ung, a key figure behind the Justice for Kopi dog movement.
"Wishing Kitster a wonderful life ahead with his new dad, filled with love, happiness, and plenty of adventures!" wrote the foundation.
Ung's daughter expressed her excitement on Instagram, thanking her father for granting her wish to adopt Kitster: "I love you, Daddy. This is the best gift ever! Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
Kitster was put up for adoption last month by the Selangor Veterinary Services Department (DVS), which extended the deadline for applications
The dog gained widespread attention after national badminton player Samuel Lee was caught on video beating the husky on the balcony of his condominium unit on 1 July.
Lee, 21, pleaded guilty and was fined RM25,000 by the Kajang Sessions Court for abusing his dog.
Following public outrage, the husky was rescued and placed under the care of DVS Selangor. The department then invited applications from "keen and qualified" individuals to adopt Kitster.
