Starting Monday, 1 June, interstate travel restrictions will be eased

However, this only applies for emergency reasons such as deaths, medical, and work-related travel.

The exception also applies to married couples who live in different states, provided they have justified reasons, according to an announcement made by the National Security Council (MKN).

These interstate travel exemptions, however, still require approval from the police.

Interstate travel, allowed since 10 May, was revoked on 21 May amidst the Aidilfitri period.

However, no such exemptions for people who are single

In a tweet late last night, 30 May, the official twitter account of the Ministry of Health (MOH) urged people who are bachelors or single to be patient, saying that their turn for interstate will come soon.

For those who are still bachelor or single, be patient because your turn will surely arrive soon.

The MOH tweet about single people has since gone viral with over 20,000 retweets.
