The Humanitarian Trust Fund for the People of Palestine (AAKRP) has donated RM32.7 million as of 13 November

In a written parliamentary reply to Sungai Petani member of parliament (MP) Dr Taufiq Johari, Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Mohamad Alamin said the funds have been channelled to five organisations, according to Malay Mail.

Five organisations that support Palestinians have been receiving these funds in the first half of 2023 alone

A total of RM373,560 has been donated to the Jordanian Ministry of Waqf and Islamic Affairs, the Malaysian Embassy in Jordan, and the Palestinian Ministry of Education.

Meanwhile, RM200,000 has been channelled to the Global Peace Mission for Gaza's development.

An initial RM10 million has also been contributed to the United Nations Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA) following the breakout of the Israeli-Gaza war. This was decided during the AAKRP Accounts Committee's second meeting this year.

AAKRP has a collection target of RM100 million

According to Malay Mail, citing Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, AAKRP has so far obtained RM81 million in donations.

Voicing his support for the Palestinian cause, Anwar said the AAKRP funds would be used to obtain medicine, food, and basic amenities for the Palestinians.
