[VIDEO] M'sian Woman Saves Man From Drowning While Vlogging On Holiday In Sri Lanka
The entire incident was caught on camera.
A Malaysian woman captured the moment she saved a man's life while enjoying the waters of Dilayuma Falls during her holiday in Sri Lanka
In a video she shared on Instagram, Farah Putri Mulyani said the incident took place on Sri Lanka's Independence Day, 4 February.
While recording her trip to the waterfall's base with her daughter, Farah said she suddenly heard someone screaming for help.
In the video, she spots a man fully submerged underwater and dives in to save him. She pulls him back up, and as he coughs, his friends rush to help him back to shore.
"Oh God, I just saved someone's life," Farah says into the camera, catching her breath after the incredible feat.
In the video, Farah reflects on the incident, believing the man panicked after entering the deeper side of the pool
In her caption, she urged others to be cautious when swimming in waterfall plunge pools.
"This incident changed the tone of my trip. I think more people should be aware of waterfall hazards because the pool can drop so deep and there's no current underneath to help you swim!
"If you're not a swimmer, this puts you in even more danger!" she warned.
