Man Confesses To Killing His Mother & Hiding Her Body In A Freezer For 3 Years
The suspect allegedly killed his mother because she refused to embrace his religious beliefs.
A man has confessed to killing his mother and hiding her body in a freezer for the past three years
According to the New Straits Times, the suspect is believed to have beaten his mother, who was in her 80s, to death at his double-storey house in Taman OUG, Kuala Lumpur, in March 2021.
He then allegedly wrapped her body in a towel and plastic sheets before storing it in a chest freezer at his home.
Sources revealed that the suspect allegedly killed his mother after becoming dissatisfied with her refusal to embrace his religious beliefs.
The suspect, in his 50s, confessed about the murder to the police at 9am today, 12 November. It was reported that he finally revealed his crime because he was running low on savings and suffers from a chronic illness.
Following the man's confession, a team of police officers rushed to the suspect's house and found the body of the victim in the freezer
The victim's body was sent to the University of Malaya Medical Center (PPUM) for an autopsy.
Speaking to Harian Metro, a neighbour described the suspect as a friendly person who would greet them whenever they meet.
They mentioned that the suspect rarely left the house, which they believed was due to his health condition, as he had suffered a stroke.
"The victim did not live with her son because she had her own house. However, she sometimes visited him because he lived alone and was not married," said the neighbour.
They added they had not seen the victim since the Movement Control Order (MCO).
