On 24 June, a photo posted on All Singapore Stuff's Facebook page showed a man sitting on the MRT with his bag placed on the seat next to him

The photo was contributed to the page by a man named Eddy.

"Another person whose bag needs its own seat," the caption read.

While faces of the commuters surrounding him were censored, the face of the man in question was not.

While sharing grievances on public transport is nothing new in the age of social media, netizens reacted differently in this instance.

Commenters defended the commuter and pointed out that the train seemed relatively empty.

Several netizens referred to the window's reflection, which showed no one sitting on the seats beside the photographer.

One netizen went as far as to create an illustration for Eddy's future reference.
