Man Hospitalised After Being Beaten For Trying To Run Away With A Married Woman
The man, who sustained severe injuries, is in critical condition.
A man alleged to have had relations with another man's wife is fighting for his life after being beaten by a group of people at a restaurant in Ampang
Ampang Jaya district police chief ACP Mohd Azam Ismail said the victim, in his 20s, is believed to have attempted to elope with the married woman, enraging her husband, reported the New Straits Times.
The victim had gone to a restaurant in Ampang with his friend, where he was assaulted by a group of men, including the woman's husband, on the morning of last Tuesday, 23 January.
According to Mohd Azam, the husband assaulted the victim, causing his nose to bleed.
"The individual then took the victim to another location and beat him unconscious. The victim was beaten by more than three individuals until he was severely injured," he was quoted as saying yesterday.

He is currently being treated at the Selayang Hospital, Mohd Azam said.
Police have since arrested five people, including the woman and her husband, aged between 22 and 32, to facilitate the investigation into the case, according to a report by Berita Harian yesterday, 28 January.
"One of the suspects, in his 20s, has nine previous offences, including one [for which he is] wanted by the police. All suspects have been remanded for seven days starting [28 January] under Section 326 of the Penal Code," he said.
