A man in Terengganu was recently brought to trial for raping his own daughter
New Straits Times reported that on Sunday, 6 October, he pleaded guilty to three sex-related charges at the Sessions Court.
The victim is his eldest daughter, an 11-year-old with a learning disability
According to Astro Awani, the man admitted to raping the minor around 11am on 20 September at a home in Marang.
The 41-year-old repeated the offence around 5am the next day on 21 September at the balcony of the house.
He also confessed to recording a pornographic video of his daughter on his mobile phone.
The man was charged under Section 376B of the Penal Code for incest
The maximum penalty is a 30-year imprisonment and 10 counts of whipping.
He was also charged under Section 377B of the Penal Code for having carnal intercourse against the order of nature, in which he could be sentenced to a maximum of 20 years in jail and caning.
For the video recording, he was charged under Section 5 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017. It carries a maximum of 30 years in jail.
The trial will resume on Tuesday, 8 October.
