The notes were seen as "politically sensitive and possibly defamatory statements".
Pictures of PM Najib Razak-related notes on the "wishing tree" at Atria Shopping Gallery have surfaced on social media early today, 2 February. Apparently, some patrons wrote down their wish for Najib to step down as prime minister.
On the same day, hours later, the Management of Atria Shopping Gallery posted on its Facebook page saying that the wishing tree has been removed seeing that certain patrons have penned notes that were deemed as "politically sensitive and possibly defamatory"
The wishing tree was set up at the Ground Floor, Centre Court area in Atria Shopping Gallery in conjunction of the mall's Chinese New Year campaign since 14 January
These Najib-related notes were not just limited to Atria Shopping Gallery. Apparently, another photo with a penned note that reads "Undur Najib" was spotted at Nu Sentral, a shopping mall in Klang Valley.
