Nur Farah's Family Satisfied With Investigation So Far As Cop Is Charged With Her Murder
Police believe the motive for the murder is a "relationship dispute" between the victim and the accused.

Lance Corporal Muhammad Alif Monjani has been charged with the murder of Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah, and her family said they are satisfied with the investigation and the prosecution process so far
The 26-year-old cop was charged at the Kuala Kubu Baru Magistrate's Court today, 26 July, under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which carries the death penalty upon conviction, reported the New Straits Times.
He nodded to indicate that he understood the charge after it was read out to him.
Sessions Court judge Nurul Mardhiah Mohammed Redza presided over the proceedings as magistrate.
No plea was recorded as murder cases fall under the jurisdiction of the High Court.
Muhammad Alif is accused of murdering Nur Farah, whose body was discovered at an oil palm plantation in Felda Gedangsa in Hulu Selangor on 15 July β five days after she was reported missing.

"So far, everything has been positive, and we are waiting for the next court appearance.
"Our family will attend the next hearing on 30 August. Let us all pray for the departed," Nur Farah's cousin, Suzursofia Smeth Jaya, told reporters outside the courthouse today.
Suzursofia travelled from Miri, Sarawak with two other family members to attend the proceedings, which were also attended by the victim's father, siblings, and friends.

Image via Malay MailMeanwhile, Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the motive for the murder may have stemmed from a relationship dispute between the victim and the accused
Without elaborating further on the dispute, Hussein told the media that the cause of death is still under investigation as they await for the laboratory findings by Sungai Buloh Hospital.
The victim, who was employed part-time at a car rental company, was last seen delivering a rental car to a customer in Tanjong Malim at around 8am on the day of her disappearance, 10 July.
She was seen leaving in a separate, red-coloured car after completing the delivery.
