On Tuesday, 24 January, a Palestinian student was arrested for allegedly peeping into the house of a group of local female students in Cyberjaya

One of the female students lodged a police report after her neighbour told her that they noticed a man of Arab origin peeping into the students' house, reported Bernama last night.

"The man had opened the toilet window and stood next to it to take a peek inside and took a pair of pants belonging to the woman's housemate. The man's actions were recorded by the complainant's neighbour before he fled," Sepang district police chief ACP Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof was quoted as saying.

When the female student checked the back balcony, she found that a pair of long grey pants belonging to her housemate was missing

Fortunately, there was no one was in the toilet at the time of the incident.

Police arrested the Palestinian man at about 4pm yesterday from Mutiara Ville.

"[We] also seized his mobile phone, shirt, trousers, and slippers he was wearing, but the woman's pants were not found. The investigation is still ongoing," Wan Kamarul told Bernama.

The case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code for intentions to insult the modesty of a person, and Section 379 of the Penal Code for theft.
