Police On The Hunt For Man For Allegedly Raping 15-Year-Old Who Gave Birth Recently

Police believe that Mohammad Hazuarie Hassan has fled to the northern part of Terengganu.

A 20-year-old man is being sought by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) over the alleged rape of a 15-year-old girl in Terengganu, who is believed to have stabbed her newborn baby on Tuesday, 8 February

The suspect has been named Mohammad Hazuarie Hassan.

According to Kemaman district police chief Supt Hanyan Ramlan, he can help with the investigation into the case of the death of the newborn, whose mother has been remanded for a week since 9 February.

Police previously asked Mohammad Hazuarie to surrender to assist in the investigation but until now the young man has not done so

He is being sought to assist in the investigation under section 376 of the Penal Code for rape.

"We believe he has fled to the northern part of Terengganu and the police will try to track him down," he said, adding that he was not found during a search of his house in Bandar Seri Bandi.

Hanyan said that they are also asking the public for any information about the suspect.
