Police Busts Penangites Playing Pokémon GO In The Middle Of The Night

Pokémon trainers have been congregating in one of George Town's most populated areas 'til late at night, much to its residents' chagrin.

Pokémon trainers in George Town, Penang had some unexpected visitors last night when police sprung a midnight operation at one of the heritage site's most populated areas

The late night op was launched after police received several complaints from residents living in the areas surrounding Lebuh Acheh alleging that Pokémon GO players have been causing disturbances and traffic congestion in the area

According to Northeast District Police Chief ACP Mior Faridalathrash Wahid, police issued a total of 15 summons to road users who illegally parked along the roads, blocking everyone else's access to said roads

He also advised those playing Pokémon GO to not be so occupied with the game that they disrupt others as well as neglect their own safety
