Uprooted Tree Crushes Perodua Axia & Traps Driver During Downpour In PJ

A woman was trapped in her Perodua Axia when an uprooted tree fell on her car at Taman Megah in Petaling Jaya yesterday, 2 October
Selangor fire and rescue department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the incident occurred during a thunderstorm at about 7.39pm, reported The Star.
Eight firefighters were deployed to the scene to extricate the 33-year-old woman.
"The female driver was safely removed from the vehicle and subsequently reunited with her family who were at the scene of the accident," China Press quoted him as saying.
The victim was unharmed in the incident.
In a separate incident, a tree toppled onto three cars on the main road to Desa View Towers condominium in Taman Desa Melawati, Kuala Lumpur
Photos published by media outlets show the three damaged vehicles were a Perodua Myvi, Proton Perdana, and Proton Saga.
Nine firefighters were deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 6.34pm, reported Bernama.
"Firemen used chainsaws to cut down the tree that had struck the vehicles and blocked traffic at the scene.
"Kuala Lumpur City Hall also helped in dealing with the incident. There were no victims involved and the operation was concluded at 7.39pm," said a representative.
