There was a rally organised at Dataran Merdeka last night.
The rally was called right after Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was announced as the eighth Prime Minister of Malaysia by Istana Negara.
According to a SAYS writer, present at Dataran Merdeka, a crowd of about 200 people have gathered there
The rally is happening after the Kuala Lumpur police chief issued a warning, saying that the organisers did not seek police permission
"It's an illegal rally as it will be done all of sudden, there's no notice and it didn't follow procedures, I advise people not to attend this rally," Mazlan Lazim was quoted as saying by Astro Awani.
The organisers will face legal charges if they proceed.
Meanwhile, cartoonist cum activist Fahmi Reza was also spotted at the rally. He was carrying a caricature of Muhyiddin.
Several other rally-goers brought other signs to express their voice
Muhyiddin's appointment for the post comes amidst a political crisis that had left the country without a government since Monday, 24 February, after the ruling Pakatan Harapan coalition collapsed.
