If You’re All Geared Up To Play Pokémon GO This Weekend, We Have Some Bad News...
Pokémon GO? More like Pokémon NO.
Contrary to 'reports' and postings on social media, the much-anticipated Pokémon GO will NOT be launching in Malaysia today, confirms Niantic
According to IGN South East Asia, fortyseven.com - the agency which represents Niantic, said that there are no announced plans outside the countries with official releases currently. The email reads:
"The team is currently heads down working on the game. We do not have any announced plans for countries beyond New Zealand, Australia, US and Germany at the moment."
Chris Kramer, Vice President of fortyseven communications.
The response came after rumours suggesting the game will be released in no later than 48 hours began circulating on social media, citing theories related to the "refreshed App market on every Thursday"
Pokémon GO is currently out in New Zealand, Australia, America, Germany and most recently, the UK.
We're definitely pretty bummed out about the announcement but at least this puts an end to all the rumours going about, giving us false hope that we would be able to play the game by this weekend :(
Your quest to catch em' all will have to wait. Be patient, guys!
