The video showed a family of eight watching TV in the hall and seated at a table before three masked men walked into the house with machetes

China Press reported that the men then forced all victims, aged between 12 and 70, into the kitchen.

Seven of the victims were tied up while one woman was taken upstairs by one of the robbers.

"(The) woman was taken upstairs and told to hand over all their jewellery and valuables, which she complied with," Supt Azizan was quoted as saying by The Star.

A total of RM30,000 were reportedly lost to the robbers.

According to Supt Azizan, the suspects parked outside the house before three of them climbed over its wall

However, none of the family members was hurt in the robbery. The victims also managed to free themselves and sought for a neighbour's help once the men fled the scene.

"We dusted the house for prints but could not find any as the suspects were wearing gloves," Supt Azizan told The Star.

Kosmo reported that the police are currently tracing the suspects. Anyone with information on the case is urged to contact the police hotline at 03-20529999 or visit the nearest police station.
