M'sian Policewoman Arrested After Going Viral In 3 Videos For Her Shouty & Rude Behaviour
From berating a lance corporal to arguing with members of the public at a temple and a car park, many netizens said she needs to get her mental health checked.
A policewoman was arrested after three videos showing her rude behaviour toward members of the public and her colleagues went viral over the weekend
The Gombak district police headquarters arrested the 35-year-old senior police officer with the rank of inspector, said to be attached to the Bukit Aman Commercial Crimes Investigation Department (CCID), at 1.20am yesterday, 18 June, reported New Straits Times.
Brickfields police chief ACP Amihizam Abdul Shukor said the suspect will be investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code for using a word or gesture intended to insult the modesty of a person and Section 14 of the Minor Offenses Act 1955 for insulting behaviour.
The policewoman has been receiving flak after a video showing her publicly berating lower-ranking colleagues in Gombak went viral on social media
In a 25-second video that surfaced last Friday, 16 June, the policewoman with over 11,000 followers on Facebook can be seen shouting at a lance corporal at an eatery.
"You're only a lance corporal, you don't deserve it, you're lower ranking than me. The way you talk is like an OCPD (police chief). You don't deserve to do so," she upbraids while pointing a finger at her colleague.
"Lans koperal lah, kau. Pangkat dah lah rendah (You are just lance corporal. Your rank is low)," she reiterates as a group of bystanders witness her outburst.
New Straits Times reported that she was believed to be involved in debt collection on behalf of a friend at the time.
The altercation happened after the officers requested to see her authority card.

After the aforementioned video went viral, a second video surfaced, showing her shouting at a group of people at a temple, with a person demanding that she "get out"
"Get out, get out! I think she belongs in a mental ward," a woman's voice can be heard saying in retort.
The policewoman, who is in plain clothes during the incident, can be seen shouting at the group while being held back by a man. He is likely trying to stop her from escalating the dispute further.
The third video shows her harassing a family at a Kuala Lumpur shopping mall's parking lot
Amihizam confirmed that a 27-year-old woman lodged a police report over the brawl that happened at 5.26pm last Friday.
"A confrontation arose when the policewoman wanted to park her vehicle next to the complainant's car, but the latter's driver and back passenger doors were open," New Straits Times quoted the district police chief as saying.
"The complainant said her grandmother was changing her niece's diaper at that time. Frustrated, the suspect honked her vehicle and was seen shouting and scolding the complainant and her family members.
"The person, who is now being investigated, also disparaged the complainant for her sexy-looking attire and recorded a video. The conflict was resolved by a man and his wife, who witnessed the incident. The complainant then proceeded to enter the shopping centre," he said.
In the one-minute-and-31-second video, the policewoman can be heard commenting on the victim's clothing, saying, "Cantik tak pakaian itu? Dengan pants putih, baju putih. Sexy kan? (Isn't her outfit beautiful? She's wearing white pants and a white top. Sexy, right?)"
The police said the suspect will undergo a mental health examination, and if any wrongdoing is found, disciplinary action will be taken against her.
