S'porean Toddler Sustains Nasty 7CM Gash On Face After Falling Forward Onto A Water Bottle
The father is allegedly seeking legal advice from lawyers and is considering taking action against the water bottle company.

A toddler in Singapore sustained a nasty wound on his face when he fell forward onto a water bottle he was carrying at the time
According to Shin Min Daily News, the incident was captured on the home closed-circuit television (CCTV), where the toddler could be seen falling down and the helper, who was taking care of the toddler at the time, trying to catch him.
The toddler's father, surnamed Wen, said the incident happened "in a matter of seconds".
"My one-and-a-half-year-old boy was drinking from his water bottle when he accidentally slipped and fell. The water bottle connected to his face, and ripped up a chunk of his skin on the forehead and eyebrow. My helper was just standing right beside him as it all unfolded, and it happened very fast," Wen said.
He also said that the helper sought help from a neighbour to bring the toddler to the emergency room as Wen was on a business trip in Canada at the time of the incident on 14 August. Wen's wife, who is a nurse, was also not at home.
The CCTV footage captured the moment Wen's son fell and injured his face.

The gash was measured to be at 7cm long and the child had to receive 16 stitches between his eyebrows. Wen's son also had to be hospitalised overnight to monitor his condition. According to the report, the child was treated at the KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Singapore.
Wen expressed his fear that his son might be 'disfigured' from this incident. Stomp reported him as saying that his son might be faced with discrimination and bullying from his peers at school due to the potential scar the gash might leave on his face.
"I'm very concerned about his future, his childhood, the potential teasing/bullying/life opportunities, and just all the bad stuff that could happen from such a disfigurement," he lamented.

Speaking with Stomp, Wen wondered why an "award-winning" children's water bottle could have caused such "permanent damage" to his son.
Wen had purchased the bottle on an e-commerce website, disregarding the price as he was prioritising his son's safety over the cost of the bottle.
"The bottle was rated for babies older than six months in the listing, and they even included pictures of infants using it on their ad listing. I want the company to explain to me, as a parent of the child affected, how your cup is sharp enough to slice a baby's face to this degree?" he questioned.
Shin Min Daily News had reached out to a representative of the brand who specialises in mother care and baby products.
The representative expressed concern towards the child and has wished him a speedy recovery.
"All of our products, including the water bottle in question, have undergone rigorous quality control and safety testing by reputable laboratories to demonstrate compliance with the highest international safety standards," they said.
Wen is allegedly seeking legal advice from lawyers and is considering taking action against the business.
