A 32-year-old female ride-hailing driver in Thailand took matters into her own hands after she was allegedly sexually assaulted by a passenger
She eventually tracked the man down with help from fellow riders and handed him over to the police. According to the Thai Post, the incident occurred around 10pm on 1 November after she accepted a booking.
When they arrived at the destination, the 21-year-old male suspect allegedly pounced on her. When she fought back, he reportedly became enraged, hit her with a helmet, and began strangling her.

The attack was thwarted when a passing motorcyclist spotted the struggle and intervened, causing the attacker to flee into a nearby wooded area
The victim immediately reported the assault to the police.
However, The Thaiger reported that officers declined her request to search for the suspect immediately, instead advising her to seek medical treatment and file a formal report at the station first.
Unwilling to let her attacker escape, the woman and the person who saved her rallied their local riding community. Together, they combed the area and managed to locate the suspect at a construction workers' camp.
The woman identified the suspect by a bite wound she had inflicted on him during the assault. The group then detained the man and handed him directly to the police.

Police have since confirmed that the suspect was arrested and has been charged with sexual assault, attempted murder, and property damage
The victim is now using social media in an attempt to track down the passersby who helped save her life.
"Thank you for not letting me die that night," she wrote in her post.
