This 6-Year-Old Malaysian Piano Prodigy Won First Place In A Competition In Vienna
Meet Olivia Lim Ling, a six-year-old Malaysian piano genius who just snagged first place at the 2019 Grand Prize Virtuoso competition in Vienna!
Lim was up against other musical prodigies from across the globe, including Germany, Spain, Italy, the UK, and Japan
After successfully besting her competitors with her compelling rendition of Chopin's composition, Lim was invited to perform at the Grand Prize Virtuoso Award Ceremony
The ceremony, which was on 13 September, was held at the iconic Wiener Musikverein concert hall in Vienna - a concert hall considered to be one of the finest in the world.
And this isn't the first win for Lim, who began playing the piano at the tender age of four
According to Sin Chew Daily, this child virtuoso has not only won numerous local and international competitions, but has also been invited to play at other distinguished concert halls such as the Philharmonie de Paris in France and the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Most recently, she has been invited to play at the 128-year-old Carnegie Hall in Manhattan, New York in December this year.
We're so proud of you, Lim!
