Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced an allocation of over RM700 million to boost tourism in Malaysia during the tabling of Belanjawan 2026 today, 10 October
He said a significant portion of the funds, RM500 million, will be channelled towards ensuring the success of the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.

- RM60 million for a promotional fund for tourism events and cultural activities.
- RM50 million to support arts and heritage entrepreneurs, including craft, batik, and weaving artisans.

- RM25 million to upgrade tourism facilities and conserve UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Gunung Mulu National Park, Sarawak; the Lenggong Valley, Perak; and the newly-gazetted FRIM Forest Park, Selangor.
