1 Killed, Another Injured After Tractor Tyre Explodes While They Were Inflating It

A 19-year-old man died and his friend was gravely injured after a tyre they were inflating at a service centre in Sungai Buloh exploded
In a statement today, 3 May, the police confirmed that the incident occurred at around 12.40pm on Tuesday, 30 April at a tyre service centre in Bandar Baru Sungai Buloh.
The statement comes after photos showing two men lying in a pool of blood went viral.
"The two local men, who worked at the service centre, were trying to inflate a tractor tyre when it exploded," Sungai Buloh district police chief Supt Mohd Hafiz Muhammad Nor said.
One victim died on the spot, and his 21-year-old colleague was rushed to Sungai Buloh Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment
"The case is classified as sudden death," he said, adding the cause of the explosion is still being investigated.
Meanwhile, Mohd Hafiz urged the public not to spread photos of the incident or speculate about the incident out of respect for the victim's family.
