[VIDEO] Electrical Substation In Shah Alam Explodes Due To Flash Floods

As incessant rain continues to wreak havoc across the country, an electrical substation exploded in Shah Alam last night, 18 December

It is believed that the explosion was caused by flash floods, causing blackouts in the area.

It's the main electrical substation for the Shah Alam.

A short video clip posted on a YouTube channel, Keep it Riyal, shows a huge ball of fire, followed by an exploding sound. The clip showed another round of explosion following soon after.

According to the uploader, it was the Glenmarie electrical substation.

As of this writing, there is no official confirmation about the incident.

Meanwhile, scores of motorists have been stranded due to a landslide on the Kuala Lumpur-Karak Expressway heading towards Bentong

Bentong police chief Supt Zaiham Mohd Kahar confirmed the incident that happened at KM69.2 of the expressway. The landslide also caused several trees to be uprooted.

"Yes, I confirm the incident, as per the kilometre mentioned by a Facebook user. Further updates will be given later", New Straits Times reported him as saying.
