A Chinese man's angry outburst against an airline worker at the airport in Qingdao, Shangdong province, was caught on video, in which he is seen smacking the staff across his face with his iPhone
The reason behind the man's bad temper was that his flight had been cancelled due to bad weather. However, the airline had promised to compensate him and also provide accommodation.
According to a report in Daily Mail, the airline arranged accommodation for the man and his family for the night and offered 400 yuan (RM240) as compensation.
The man and his family were then arranged by the airline company to board the same flight the next day. However, he returned to the airport the next morning and started arguing with the airline worker at the counter.
While asking to board an earlier flight, the man starts pointing his finger at the staff angrily before suddenly slapping him with his iPhone 6 Plus.
He was apprehended by airport security
While the incident occurred on 29 July, the surveillance footage was released this week.
The man, identified only by his surname Wu, was sentenced to 10 days behind bars and has now been placed on China's infamous travel blacklist, reported Shanghaiist.
