Video Shows Parang-Wielding Man Assaulting & Robbing 2 Women At A Klang Grocery Store
The two women were robbed of necklaces worth a total of RM50,000.
A masked man wielding a parang entered a grocery store in Klang, a day before the Thaipusam holiday and robbed two women of their necklaces, physically assaulting one of them in the process
According to the police, the crime took place at around 2pm on 10 February, when the man stepped out of a grey SUV and barged into the store in Bandar Parklands.
Once inside, he assaulted and kicked a 59-year-old female customer and threatened to cut off her gold necklace if she did not hand over the jewellery, South Klang district police chief ACP Cha Hoong Fong said.
He then approached the second victim, a 28-year-old store employee.
Cha said that the frightened employee took off her gold necklace and threw it at the robber.
"The suspect fled the scene in the grey Proton X50 with a fake registration number," he said.
Both victims were physically unharmed
The two women were robbed of necklaces worth a total of RM50,000.
An investigation paper has been opened under Sections 395 and 397 of the Penal Code for armed robbery, which carries a penalty of up to 20 years in prison and whipping.
