Woman Allegedly Dies Of Hornet Sting While Hiking In Penang
Police said a post-mortem will be carried out to determine the exact cause of death.
A woman died after reportedly being stung by hornets while hiking up Bukit Gambir in Bayan Lepas, Penang yesterday, 16 November
Penang Northeast district acting police chief Supt V Saravanan said the 58-year-old victim succumbed to her injuries en route to Penang Hospital during the 6pm incident, reported Bernama.
"Police received a report from a doctor at a hospital that a woman had been stung by hornets while hiking in the Bukit Gambir area.
"The victim died while being transported to the hospital. A post-mortem will be carried out tomorrow (17 November) to determine the exact cause of her death," Saravanan said last night.

Another posted by China Press shows about a dozen people carrying the victim out from a hiking trail to a tarmac road before preforming CPR on her.
Paramedics later arrived at the scene and she was seen being placed on a stretcher.
