Woman In Bangkok Snatches Singaporean Man's RM3,860 Gold Necklace By Hugging Him
The victim and his friend managed to chase the perpetrator down and get his necklace back.

A Singaporean tourist had his holiday turned upside down after he got his SGD1,100 (RM3,860) gold necklace stolen from under his nose when a woman suddenly hugged him in Bangkok, Thailand
According to The Thaiger, 52-year-old Andy Koh Kuan Yong said that he was walking on the roadside of Asok BTS Station with his local friend on Wednesday, 8 March, when the woman approached him, pretending to greet him.
Out of the blue, the woman reached out and hugged him. Before Koh could react, the woman snatched his gold necklace and fled the scene.
Koh and his friend made chase and managed to catch the perpetrator and get the gold necklace back. They later filed a police report at the Lumphini police station.
The perpetrator of the incident turned out to be a 36-year-old Cambodian national, identified as Kinkon
According to a statement released by the Lumphini police station's official Facebook page, Kinkon had entered Thailand illegally and did not possess any personal documents.
She was charged under Section 336 of the Criminal Law which carries a jail sentence of up to five years and a fine of THB100,000 (RM12,867).
Charges in regards to Kinkon entering Thailand illegally have not been reported yet.
