Family Watches Helplessly As MPV Gets Remotely Unlocked & Stolen In 7 Minutes
They did not dare apprehend the robbers for the sake of their safety.

The owner of a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) could only watch as her family car was stolen in minutes from her home in Meru Garden, Ipoh on Sunday, 29 September
The incident went viral through a 15-second video uploaded by TikTok user @farrahouz1, showing her Toyota Alphard being driven away by an unknown individual in the dark.
According to the video, which has garnered over two million views on TikTok, the incident occurred at 3.50am and was witnessed by the user and her family from their living room.
In the video's description, she said the robbers managed to break open their automatic gate, unlock the car using a remote device, and did not flee when an alarm was activated or when shouting was heard
"Our car was stolen so easily. The robbers managed to start the engine in five to seven minutes and did not run away when we yelled.
"We didn't dare to go out for fear they may have a gang waiting outside or have a gun. I'm speechless," wrote the user.
She added that she posted the video to caution other MPV owners, especially those with Toyota Alphards, Vellfires, and Ford Ranger Raptors.
Ipoh district police chief ACP Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said they received a report of the incident at 4.19am on Sunday from the owner of the MPV
"Initial police investigations at the scene found that the Toyota Alphard, which was parked inside the gated area of the house, was stolen by a man whose ethnicity has yet to be determined," he said, as quoted by Harian Metro.
The case is being investigated under Section 379A of the Penal Code for vehicle theft.
He urged those with information regarding the incident to come forward to any nearby police station or contact the Ipoh District control centre at +605-2542222 to assist in the investigation.
