2 Men Smash Rear Window Of Footballer Safiq Rahim's Car With A Hammer
After smashing his rear window, the two men stopped and pointed the hammer at Safiq.
On Tuesday, 7 May, the rear window of local football player Safiq Rahim's vehicle was reportedly smashed with a hammer in an incident that occurred in Pantai Lido, Johor Bahru
According to the footballer's Instagram post, the incident took place at around 10.05pm when he had finished picking up items at the JDT Seri Gelam Training Center.
In a police report attached to his post, Safiq stated that his car was approached by two unknown individuals on a motorcycle.
The pillion rider then took out a hammer and struck the rear window of the footballer's Honda City.
After smashing his vehicle's rear window, the two men then stopped and pointed the hammer at Safiq
"The blow startled me and I stopped the car. The two men then stopped in front of me while pointing the hammer at me.
Out of fear, I reversed the car before the two men left the scene. The blow caused the rear window of my car to break," Safiq said in his statement in the police report made at the Larkin Police Station.
In the caption, the Johor Darul Takzim (JDT) player also mentioned the need for caution due to several recent threats against local football players.
"I didn't expect to be attacked near the JDT Training Center. Our time requires caution," he wrote.
