Last night, 22 May, Malaysian doubles pair Aidil Aiman Azwawi and Noraizat Mohd Nordin stunned Thailand to win the doubles title at the Sepak Takraw World Cup at the Titiwangsa Stadium in Kuala Lumpur

Malaysia started strong against Thailand, even leading by six points.

Thailand's Seksan Tubtong-Kittiphum Sareebut fought back but Aidil-Noraizat stayed calm and won both sets closely, 17-16, 15-13, according to the New Straits Times.

Malaysia has never won a category at the Sepak Takraw World Cup before

According to Berita Harian, this is the first time Malaysia has defeated Thailand in a doubles event.
